It's still Sunday, right? So who is Kyos?

IT WAS FIVE MINUTES PAST SUNDAY WHEN I GOT THIS. THAT MEANS I CAN’T ANSWER IT.

Nah, just kidding.

Um, Kyos is a mythological (and historical) figure of one of my made up countries, which currently has so stupid of a name that I’m just going to avoid calling it anything besides “one of my made up countries.”

Anyhow, this dude is Kyos;

I don’t really have much more of him besides sketches because he’s never been a main character of anything and he’s not in any story that I’m working on right now.

Heck, I’m not even sure if he has a CSS tag.

Anyhow, he’s considered a god by the culture, though he’s incredibly limited in his abilities. Story goes that there was only darkness in the beginning, and because there was only darkness, there was nothing for the darkness to observe, or feel about, or even think about. Because there was only it, there was nothing to differentiate itself from anything else, so it was not even aware of itself. You could say that it wasn’t existing.

Then the creation gods came into the dark, and suddenly the dark began to think about them. They created the world, and it was amazed and wanted to create too- so it created itself a body. Then it made itself many bodies.

It went over the earth as a thousand and seven shadows.

Then the dark became a god. A god of DURKNISS. It took on many physical forms and the other gods were like OH NO BROTHA, THAT AIN’T HOW IT WORKS. And they imprisoned the dark.

While imprisoned, it named itself Kyos.

Then some other god was like, hey, he didn’t really do anything bad. Just because he’s dark doesn’t mean he’s bad.

So they released him.

But turns out he was a god of TUMULT AND CHAOTIC INTENT as well. Or that his imprisonment made him bitter. He just kind of went around effing up people.

He was captured by the other gods again, but he used his cleverness to make sure they couldn’t imprison him again. Instead they severely limited the forms he could take and kind of forced him to always be in a physical form. When he took on the physical form of a man, he had no eyes- because no one can see in the dark, after all. And he was the dark. He figured that in the absence of darkness would be light, so he borrowed a knife and cut out little slots in his face for eyes. But on the first one, he knew not of the pain that came with a physical form and, not expecting the agony, he jerked his hand down his face- resulting in the scar. But, besides that, it did work.

Then he went about the earth in a physical form. He still had the ability to shapeshift, but every time he did something stupid another form was lost to him. Eventually he ended up with only being able to take the shape of a human or of a snake. Though the types of humans or snakes were limitless.

Oh, and sometimes poor saps like Junus were set as something of wardens over Kyos- in attempts to make sure he didn’t do anything too stupid again. This was kind of silly, since Kyos is the expert of figuring out how to do things you’re not supposed to.

Anyway

that was probably a lot more information than you wanted.

TL;DR- Kyos is a shapeshifting trickster god who screws up everything. He also kind of lives in extremes. Sometimes he’s very good, and sometimes he’s very bad, but rarely is he just okay. He also very much likes purple.
