Some More Comics I Like That Aren’t Homestuck:
I've been watching your progression in art for a little while now. When I first discovered you it was on iscribble, I believe. Your ability to create stories and elaborate them with your characters and the unique characteristics you give to them has blown me away. I'm only a senior in high school, but I thought I'd finally tell you how much I am grateful to have found you as someone to idolize. You're quite amazing. What's your earliest memory that includes art, or creating art?
Oh wow, I don’t know how long this ask has been in here and I’m sorry I didn’t answer it sooner.
Thank you so much for telling me that. That is incredibly uplifting and inspires me to continue creating, if not push harder. I hope that I can continue to produce all that I can for you, and that you in turn will find that inspiration- if you haven’t already. And good luck in your senior year.
Oh man, my earliest memory of that. My family’s pretty artistic, though all in different ways, so I grew up with with my mom’s crafty little wood cut signs and stuff and my two older brothers were always doodling things. Because of that (and because my memory is sometimes crap) I don’t remember my earliest memory that includes art.
I think that my first recollection of making art would be drawing this panther dude being electrocuted in some kind of testing chamber. My brothers were always into superheroes and comics, and by association (despite being younger) so was I. This was during a time when the old X-Men cartoon was rad and on TV and we watched it everyday. I didn’t really understand how mutants worked, but I knew they were were like normal humans but not- so I made this anthropomorphic panther man to be my mutant. I can’t remember why he was being electrocuted. Probably caught by Magneto’s mutants or something. I wish I still had that, it was drawn in color pencils and didn’t look much more different than the abstract shape animals that I think I drew at that time.
Thank you so much again for the comment and question! And have a great night.
