I actually don’t believe I’ve gotten many asks about Ebeneezer at all! So if I ever told you about this, then I certainly don’t blame you for not remembering.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Selidor has one crazy mother and one brother who-looks-crazier-than-him-but-isn’t named Ebeneezer.

The short answer to that is: No.

The long answer is: When Selidor was pretty young he had enough of his crazy mother. Enough to the point where he ran away, leaving his poor younger brother in her care. But you know, his dad walked out on them long before so LIKE FATHER LIKE SON, EH? Anyway, he always meant to come back for his brother, but his mom kind of became vicious and made sure they couldn’t contact each other at all and the one time they were able to Ebeneezer was like dude I’m alright, she’ll probably die soon anyway.

And then years and years later, after Selidor inherited his missing father’s fortune and got his planet and got married and kids and that, shiz went down and a lot of people died. Selidor’s wife and child died, as well as the majority of people who were living on the mining planet, and it was assumed that Selidor had died along with them even though he was just MIA. Course a lot of bodies were missing or unidentifiable so no one knew that.

Anyway, their mom got the news, went crazier than usual, and Ebeneezer took care of her the best he could, longing now to run away as his brother once did BUT LOOK HOW WELL THAT WENT FOR THEIR FAMILY. This is pretty hard on Ebeneezer who at the time was trying to go to pretty specialized colleges for cloning scientists and researchers. She finally dies and Ebeneezer inherits their house, which is one of the reasons he stayed but now he finds that… wow, he kind of doesn’t want it. He takes his science knowledge and heads off into space, determined to find some kind of job. It seems like something goes wrong at every turn, but he meets some pretty neat people and everyone thinks he’s creepy as balls and he’s trying to face the fact that he’s become an alcoholic, but it’s amazing. He never had the stomach for adventure that Selidor had, but it’s still the most amazing thing he’s ever done.

Then one of the crewmates is a macaneon, and also the brother of Lagarto (one of my brother’s characters), who happens to be… SELIDOR’S CREWMATE. So he starts hearing rumors here and there that woah, either Selidor’s alive, or some dude is going around impersonating him like eleven years after his supposed death.

So right now Ebeneezer’s just kind of cruising around the galaxy with the goal of finding somewhere to work and support himself (and it looks like fate is kind of pushing him in the direction of being a mercenary which seems like a rather unstable life and terrifies him, but hey everything’s gotta be easy after living with their mom, right?) and also with the goal of finding this guy who is either his brother or an impersonator or a clone or something.

So yeah, they’re not in contact with each other at all, and they are not on the same ship.

Also, unrelated to this for the most part, but it seems like on every other document of Selidor’s brother I have I either call him Ebeneezer or Ebenezer. I’m not sure which spelling I like more so I’ll like… update y’all when I figure out which one I’m sticking with.
