Could you tell us some general information about Drytzein? Like his personality, back story, and so on? Whatever you'd like, really.
Of course I could!
The first thing to understand about Drytzein is that he’s a MOAG character- which means I play him in a tabletop rpg and much of his everything resulted from the roll of the dice and the GM (the dude who coordinates the game)’s discretion, rather than other characters where I sit down and I figure out what I want them to be.
So, some quick background, MOAG is a scifi universe. There is the Conara Empire who are big and scary, and one of the inventions they’re known for are the “quell" who are test tube born creatures born of two species to make an UBER SPECIES. Sometimes these quell are used for combat training for scary Conara soldiers and sometimes they’re used as soldiers themselves.
Then there are “hybrids" which basically means any attempt at replication of the quell done by anyone who isn’t a part of the Conara Empire. Hybrids mix two species, but usually do not have as… perfect results. Drytzein is a hybrid, a generic brand quell. He is a mix between the species macaneon and cylonquin.
Macaneons are a species with four arms, a tail, a feathered crest, and lizard-like faces.
They are known for their ability to figure things out, and most species of the universe speak their language- which is just called macaneon.
Then there are cylonquins. We jokingly call them “space elves” but with good reason.
They’re a bit shorter than the average human, extremely quick and dexterous, and are known for bein’ pretty dang hot. Hottie boomba lotties. Their skin and hair color can also virtually be any color under the sun.
It should also be noted that there’s a lot of physical variations as well. Like my cylonquin, Envi’ere, has shorter, rounder ears that sit higher up on her head.
So, using dice and GM’s discretion, we figured out which traits Drytzein would have. With hybrids, you have to roll traits of both parents against each other, and sometimes you have just one trait of either, sometimes you have the best of both worlds, and sometimes you have the worst of both worlds. (Using strength as an example, what I just said means they could either have normal strength, the strength of a COMBINED MACANEON AND CYLONQUIN, or the weakness of a combined macaneon and cylonquin. Or something like that.)
Eventually we came out with this:
Drytzein favors more of the cylonquin features, but has macaneon ribs, four-arms, and a bit of a feathered crest is visible under the back of his hair.
He also, with some lucky rolls, ended up being tied with the statistically prettiest character in MOAG, if you wanted to know. Also, on another roll, he ended up being albino which I thought was PRETTY DARN AWESOME because I love me some pale boys.
So this is Drytzein Ara.
Drytzein spent his first sixteen years of life in the science station he was born on. There were a few other hybrids, but the only other one he got along with is the one we called his ‘test tube bro,’ Rellik who is played by my friend. Rellik is half cylonquin as well, thus where the joke started that our characters somehow share a same genetic mother. His other genetic parent, however, was a klisk- which I don’t have a nifty picture, but klisks are a few feet taller than the average human, are really freaking muscular, and have tough skin. They way my friend rolled, Rellik came out looking like this massively tall, muscular, attractive cylonquin.
Better lock up your wives with that one around, boys.
At the space station, they were taught weird things; like uncommon fighting styles (Dryte is excellent when wielding spears) and unorthodox medical practices and such. Rellik was taught how to CONTROL THINGS WITH HIS MIIIIIND. And there were were experiments done on them and tests and a whole lot of being strapped to medical tables and being studied; and although they didn’t know it at the time, Dryte and Rellik were kind of flukes in how perfect they were. Dryte wasn’t meant to be so beautiful and Rellik wasn’t meant to be so strong.-
Life wasn’t all that happy for them. Rellik dealt with these things by being humorous and optimistic and boisterous. Drytzein, on the other hand, became cold and harsh and cynical.
Then one day, when Rellik and Dryte were both about sixteen, the space station was attacked. We believe it was the Conara Empire wiping out this abomination copycat of their quell laboratories, but we don’t know. Dryte and Rellik barely managed to escape with a shuttle pod to the nearest… well, the nearest anything. It’s actually a spaceport, but it’s the largest spaceport in the known galaxy, large as a planet, and it’s known as Koge.
For the next several months, Dryte and Rellik stuck together, trying to find jobs but nothing really worked and they were often left hungry and homeless. Dryte became even more bitter during this period of time. Rellik almost lost his optimism.
Then, out of the blue, while Rellik and Dryte were looking for jobs, a guy noticed them looking and… well, he approached them, looked them up and down, and told him he thought he had the perfect job for them. Before really knowing anything about the job, the test tube bros accepted and soon they were being whisked away in a gorgeous limo. Drytzein saw the luxury of the vehicle and knew that, someday, he was going to have one for himself. They found out on the car ride that the job they were being offered was
And well, being teenaged boys- getting to have sex and being paid for it sounded preeetty awesome to them. They gladly went. Soon they were set up in one of the galaxy’s most renown brothels and advertised as exotic male escorts. The rooms they were ‘given’ to work in were pretty awesome too, with an interactive screen they could change the simple room to basically any style with any furnishings and call up any type of clothing or alcohol or food they wanted. This is where the joke of Dryte stuffing his face with veggieburgers because… well, they hadn’t eaten in awhile, it was the first thing he wanted to do.
I won’t get into all their hooker escapades, but it was probably the funniest campaign I’ve ever played in MOAG. I’ve never laughed so hard. Dryte, however, was learning that with his looks he could own the world. This, coupled with his already existing coldness and cynicalness, made him proud and arrogant as well. He certainly has a mean streak, and can be ruthlessly cutting in words and subtly vengeful.
The next few months shaped Dryte into the cold individual he is, even though he kept close to his test tube bro, and he found that he liked wealth, sex, and power very much. He also formed an attraction to male gargonan, a species of which is not apart of his genetics and therefore is considered ‘sexually deviant’ by most standards.
After awhile though, whoever destroyed the space station was looking for the two missing hybrids- and they found them. They sent a varsiira, a plant-like monster, after the two boys and after some crazy escapades, they ended up joining the space traveling group of mercenaries (the rest of the players in MOAG) as part of their crew.
There’s not much to tell about Drytzein right now in his story other than he was asked to gun the heck out of an entire people from a starship once and he found out pretty quickly that he was a pacifist when it came from physical violence and he couldn’t do it. Fortunately, he wasn’t kicked out of the team because he’s proven to be a pretty darn good medic. He’s also very much attracted to another player’s character, Quar, who is a male gargonan and who may or may not be sexually interested. And he’s also working on becoming a therapist because everyone on this gorram ship is messed up in the head.
Some other things about Drytzein Ara:
Thanks for the question, Aly!
Bot requested my character Drytzein in ‘a Lady Gaga kind of outfit’ and in something ‘suit like’. I was without internet so I didn’t really have references, but I still like them.

School is hard guys. Just want you to know that. Also, have some sketches I did on a livestream a couple days ago.
